Aasha, the title character, is an elderly woman who runs a plant nursery. She has two daughters: the elder lives with her family in the Middle East, while the younger, Anagha, works at an IT firm and lives with Aasha. One night, while returning home after watching a movie, Aasha and Anagha are involved in a road accident. The behaviour of the other people involved prompts Aasha to pursue a police case, despite everyone urging her to settle the matter amicably.
